When climate change alters rainfall patterns, the impacts can affect water intake, water quality, treatment costs, and operational continuity. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this context, industrial water reuse is gaining importance as a technical alternative to reduce dependence on external sources, increase operational predictability, and strengthen water security during periods of greater climate instability.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-644a8d0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"644a8d0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><b>What is El Ni\u00f1o?<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Ni\u00f1o is a climate phenomenon associated with the abnormal warming of the surface waters of the Equatorial Pacific Ocean. This change affects wind patterns and influences rainfall patterns in different parts of the world. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In practice, their effects may vary by region, but they are usually related to:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rising temperatures;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Droughts;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heavy and sporadic rainfall;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Increased frequency of extreme weather events;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changes in water availability and quality.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this reason, El Ni\u00f1o should not be understood merely as a period of \u201cmore rain\u201d or \u201cless rain.\u201d The key point is irregularity.
