EP Group Brings Modular Wastewater Treatment Plant, 3D-Printed Housing, and PFAS Research to Fenasan 2026

From October 20 to 22, the EP Group will be at Fenasan 2026 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. This year’s participation will highlight EP Engenharia do Processo’s expertise in customized sanitation solutions, featuring a modular wastewater treatment plant presented through a 3D rendering of a real-world case study.

The goal is to introduce industry professionals to a practical solution designed to address specific wastewater treatment challenges. The model will allow users to visualize the system’s configuration, the arrangement of the modules, and the steps involved in the project, facilitating a technical discussion about its application, implementation, and adaptation to different scenarios.

Modular systems can be considered for projects that require planned implementation, the possibility of expansion, and better use of the available space. Each solution, however, must take into account factors such as flow rate, effluent characteristics, quality targets, local conditions, and operational requirements.

At the EP Group booth, visitors will be able to view a 3D model of a wastewater treatment plant developed for a real-world project to implement a system for Maxion, a major food industry company. Visitors will be able to talk with the team about the technical criteria that guided the project. More than just displaying a model, the goal is to show how a treatment plant is designed based on the specific needs of each operation.

Presentation on PFAS at the AESabesp Technical Meeting

The EP Group’s participation also includes scientific content. On Wednesday, October 21, at 2:40 p.m., the technical team will give an oral presentation on the following paper:

Development and Validation of an Expanded Methodology for PFAS Based on the EPA Method 1633A: An Approach from Environmental Health to Public Health

The presentation will be led by Leonardo Paiva, coordinator of the Liquid Chromatography Laboratory and head of R&D projects in the EP Group’s environmental analysis division. Leonardo specializes in the development and validation of analytical methods in accordance with the guidelines of the ISO 17025 standard.

PFAS, short for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, is a group of compounds that requires specific analytical methods for identification and quantification. Method 1633A, published by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), covers the determination of 40 PFAS compounds in various matrices, including wastewater, surface water, groundwater, soil, biosolids, sediments, leachate, and tissues.
