EP celebrates the milestone of 700 million cubic meters of treated water, a volume equivalent to the consumption of more than 9 years of the city of Guarulhos, with 1.4 million inhabitants.

Reverse osmosis was applied to remove more than 98% of the dissolved solids (conductivity), transforming 75% of the effluent into high-quality water for reuse in the plant.

2. Tailings management

The remaining 25%, which is saline waste, has been safely managed, stored and made available for the municipality to use for wetting roads and washing streets.
