Activated carbon filters are used in water filtration with the capacity to reduce odors, retain chlorine, color, and organic chemicals. They are widely used in drinking fountain refill systems and water filtration in general for industrial purposes and human consumption. They have a small pressure drop and do not allow the release of coal in the filtration process.
