Fast press

The screw press is advanced dewatering equipment designed to remove water from sludge efficiently and effectively.
Using a “screw press” mechanism, this equipment transforms liquid sludge into a dewatered material, facilitating its handling, transportation and final disposal.

The liquid sludge is fed into a cylindrical chamber that houses a helical screw.
The screw propels the sludge along the chamber, compressing it against a flange.
During this process, the solids-free water passes through a grate in the chamber wall and flows into a collection compartment, from where it is directed to the equipment outlet.
The concentrated sludge is released through a small passage at the lateral ends of the flange.

Main components

  • Main machine: Where the dewatering of the sludge takes place.
  • Flocculation mixing tank: Used to prepare the sludge before dewatering.
  • Measuring tank: Measures the amount of sludge to be processed.
  • Electrical control cabinet: Controls and monitors the operation of the screw press.
  • Motors: Provide the energy needed to operate the equipment.
